Another factor is the value packed into every Chevrolet — from a long list of standard safety features, to benefits such as 24-Hour Roadside Assistance, to easy maintenance features such as platinum-tip spark plugs and extended service intervals. Chevrolets passenger car lineup for 1999 continues the tradition of variety and value, with a host of product improvements. Following is a summary of this years offerings, along with highlights of new features by model line. METRO. The outstanding fuel efficiency of Metro and a surprisingly high level of standard features make Metro a logical choice for first-time buyers. Metro Coupe features a 1.0 Liter SOHC three-cylinder engine with Electronic Fuel Injection matched to a five-speed manual transmission for excellent fuel economy. For 1999, Metro features an enhanced color palette, with two new exterior colors, Dark Green Metallic and Silver Metallic. Three-spoke wheelcovers are now standard on Metro Coupe. Metro LSi Coupe and LSi Sedan feature a larger 1.3 liter SOHC 16-valve four-cylinder engine with Multi-Port Fuel Injection (MFI) and offer exterior accents such as seven-spoke full wheel covers, body-side moldings and body-color front and rear bumpers. In addition, all Metro models provide features such as Scotchgard™ protection, Daytime Running Lamps and safety belt force limiters which release tension gradually to help lessen impact forces transferred to the occupant during a collision — features ...
